This module focus standards developed to regulate cyber security measures

Overview

For any industrial system to become operational, it needs to pass the quality control checks imposed by the ISO and other standardization organizations. This module provides an overview of the technique suggested by the standardization organizations such as the ISO and IEC for identifying and assessing potential cyber security-related vulnerabilities within industrial systems along with the proposed measures to handle such vulnerabilities.

Time commitment

This module take about 4 hours per week over 5 weeks to complete (20 hours in total). Webinars are included where you engage in deeper discussions on selected topics, together with teachers and co-learners. You will be onboarded to the learning portal on Friday before the starting date.

Learning objectives
Understand and be able to manage in industrial settings the process needed to achieve compliance against cybersecurity standards (e.g. ISO 27001) and international regulations addressing data protection (e.g. GDPR - General Data Protection Regulation)
Module structure

Learning material consist of recorded audio-visual lectures (2 to 4 lectures of 1-2h each), plus slides and other learning materials like book chapters, papers, links to instructional videos, and self-assessment tests.

Targeted participants

Beginners interested in learning about the existing standards, regulations and norms ensuring better implementation of cyber security-related properties within an industrial setting.
